Tired of hearing Matt Damon mansplain diversity? Too bad, because he's not done yet.

Damon caught heat last fall after interrupting producer Effie Brown's point about the importance of a diverse directing team on HBO’s Project Greenlight. On Sunday, he took another stab at addressing racial diversity in the film industry and this year's all-white nominations.

In response to complaints from celebrities and Twitter users employing the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, vowed to diversify its board.

Damon told the Associated Press this decision was "a wonderful first step."

"We're talking about huge systemic injustices around race and gender that are a lot bigger than the Oscars," the actor said. "They're massive issues in our industry and in our country."

Damon's opinions reflect the majority of Black Hollywood (with the embarrassing exception of Stacey Dash), which is continuing the conversation about the industry's lack of racial diversity.

"The Oscars are a symptom of a much greater issue and that's the issue of the Hollywood movie-making system," How to Get Away With Murder star Viola Davis said at Elle's annual Women in Television event Wednesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "More films need to be made where we can shine."
